Claudette Shephard is the Founder of the Oasis Foundation.
Throughout her career, Dr. Shephard has been regularly cited as one of the Best Doctors in the community by her peers and is listed as an Exceptional Woman in Medicine by the Memphis Flyer as well as a Healthcare Hero by the Memphis Business Journal. Her work in medical education and community-based wellness has made a significant impact on the lives of many.
Passionate about giving back, Dr. Shephard is deeply involved in community service and volunteer work. She has made a lasting impact through her contributions to various community projects and organizations, championing causes close to her heart such as wellness and quality of life for all citizens. Dr. Shephard has maintained a 20-year affiliation with the Mid-South Chapter of the American Cancer Society, including serving as President of the Executive Leadership Board. She serves on several boards including A Step Ahead Foundation, Regional One Health, and as a Trustee for LeMoyne-Owen College. She also serves as the medical advisor for the Shelby County Crime Victim and Rape Crisis Center. She is active in the Frayser community, and serves on the Executive Board of the Frayser Community Association.

Dr. Shephard is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist with special training in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology. A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, Dr. Shephard completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the State University of New York Health Science at Brooklyn. Her fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology was obtained at UTHSC in Memphis. She also holds an MBA in Healthcare Leadership from the Haslam College of Business at UT Knoxville.
