Joyce Rayner brings over four decades of experience as a Registered Nurse Clinician to the board. Her career notably includes serving as CEO of a transitional center for male veterans dealing with substance abuse and PTSD for more than a decade. She holds certification in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, endorsed by Dr. William Glasser and the William Glasser Institute.
As a certified Recovery Life Skills Instructor, Joyce brings specialized expertise in addiction recovery, mental health support, and spiritual wellness to the board. Her work encompasses providing life skills workshops for individuals struggling with alcohol and drug addiction and HIV-AIDS.
Her impact on Tennessee's community has earned her recognition as one of "Memphis Tennessee's 50 Women Who Make a Difference," and the Orange Mound Leadership Award. Joyce serves as an ordained Elder in her local church. She is an accomplished author, having published the devotional book "Women of Victory" and numerous articles on health and wellness.
Joyce’s community service spans both healthcare and spiritual leadership. She has led numerous women's Bible study groups and serves as a keynote speaker for Women's Retreats, Women's Day programs, and Prayer Breakfasts. Her ongoing work includes developing tools to empower women in their spiritual journey, combining her healthcare expertise with faith-based support.
